Me and 5 friends went out this morning, and had an awesome time on Moosehead with Al! We each caught a fish, 3 salmon and 3 lakers. We couldn’t have asked for a better morning to be out, and Al was super kind and knowledgeable! Thanks Al!

Our family of 4 had a great day with Al. The fishing was on the slower side but that didn’t dampen the mood. The scenery is great and we still left with enough fish for dinner and a great memory. I’d recommend Al to anyone looking for a great day on Moosehead with a knowledgeable, friendly guide.

Al was a great guide. He was knowledgeable about the lake and the fish in the area. You can tell he has a real passion for fishing. Although I had a lot of novice questions he did not make me feel stupid on any of my questions.

I hate to be the only one with a rather disappointing review but here's the reality of our experience: we booked a half day trip, me, my wife and 12 year old daughter. Leaving the dock at 6a looking forward to several hours of fishing. You would assume a half day trip means until noon but come 10a we're packing up and heading in. So figure - 15 minutes out, 15 minutes setting up gear and 15 minutes back in you've actually got about 3 hours of fishing. Now we did catch fish: me two small salmon (small) and my wife caught a nice 4lb. trout. But at $450 it was a very expensive trip. Our daughter, who stayed in the cvabin was still charged $50 for the sausage biscuit I guess. Here we were, settling in to fish and all of a sudden it was time to quit. We can't recommend Reel Guide Services, it was quick, expensive and a very minimal experience.
